Swimming, tubing & canoeing is a firm favourite in all our lodges. The two dams on Spitzkop farm are available for guests of both Rockwood Farm House and Farm Cottage. There are inner tubes available for tubing and a canoe.

There are several splash pools in the river around Forest Lodge and waterfalls for the odd dip on a hot Summer day.

The weirs on the drive towards Rockwood Mountain Lodge (4×4 only) are excellent for swimming with stunning views.

The Midmar Mile happens yearly in February at Midmar Dam, approximately 30 minutes from Rockwood Office / Reception and 45 minutes for Forest Lodge and Mountain Lodge.
