Hidden Gem in the Midlands A beautiful farmhouse surrounded by a majestic nature reserve. The farmhouse has a modern design and furniture. The guided walk in the forest was the highlight. The private chef was a class act. Not to mention the private massage. We will be back again.

Marvellous Midlands We stayed at Rockwood Cottage for 5 nights in June 2023 and it was simply wonderful! The Cottage was perfectly appointed, with modern, but cosy finishings and every comfort you could need - including simple but effective loadshedding backup. The farm itself is gorgeous with beautiful views over the dam and fields and Nguni cattle to really give a sense of place; the animals that made the trip (esp for my children) were Tom & Jerry the donkeys. Rockwood is wonderfully close to some of the best Midlands restaurants and coffee shops, as well as a convenient 20 min drive from Howick for a grocery top-up! However what made the stay all the more wonderful were Sue, who lovingly cares for the houses, and is 100% supportive and reactive to every request - checking in all the time, and informing us of loadshedding schedules etc; as well as her husband Ant (who looks after the farm) who dropped everything to help us with some car trouble - the support staff were smiley, friendly, and we felt right at home. I could not recommend Rockwood Lodges more (we poked our heads into 2 of the other 3 homes.... they are all gorgeous!) and we hope to be back in the very near future!

Exceded my expections The Rockwood team went out of their to make our stay memorable and relaxing. The Mountain cabin had everything that we needed and more. The Big Green Egg was great to prepare food in. The surrounding area was so much fun and relaxing to explore and get out into nature. Highly recommended. Just a note that the Mountain cabin is only accessible by a 4x4 vehicle with high clearance. You won't be disappointed!

A Dream Space This modern farmhouse was magical. The interior decor and indoor/outdoor flow was unmatched and every room was fully equipped for the perfect stay. The natural surroundings accompanied the space perfectly. Our aim for the weekend was to enjoy each other as a family and this home invites this through all the available activities, games and breathtaking spaces. The hospitality was of a high standard. We would recommend this place over and over again.
